There has been great excitement about Tate Britain’s current exhibition devoted to the extraordinary photographer Lee Miller. We’re offering an opportunity to celebrate her work while also supporting the Literary Salon’s financial assistance fund, which helps people participate in studies at a level they can afford.
Professor Nancy Goldstein invites you to examine and appreciate Miller’s insight, aesthetic, instinct, technical brilliance and sheer nerve in a single-study online session, followed by an optional in-person wander through the Tate exhibition itself. Immediately afterwards, anyone who emerges from the Tate wanting to continue the conversation is welcome to join Nancy for an informal coffee and chat session at a nearby venue.
Single online meeting live on Zoom, Sunday 30 November 2025, 3.30-5.30 pm GMT
Optional in-person meeting at Tate Britain, Friday 5 December 2025 at 10.00 am
£40 fee for two-hour online meeting (see below for informal meeting to follow).
There is no charge for the follow-up informal meeting at Tate Britain on 5 December, but please book and pay for your own ticket to the exhibition in advance if you do not have a Tate membership card, and budget for the cost of refreshments if you join us at a café for a post-visit discussion.
Proceeds from this study will help support participants who have difficulty affording the cost of Salon studies.
